Targets

  1. Increase the value from the sale of non-hazardous and unused materials by 10%.
  2. Reduce the volume of waste sent for disposal by 10% compared to the year 2023

Non-hazardous waste performance

  • In 2024, the amount of non-hazardous waste decreased of 0.08%, or 5.20 kilograms per ton, compared to 2023.
  • In 2023, the amount of non-hazardous waste increased by 13.24, or 6.42 kilograms per ton , compared to 2022.

Hazardous waste performance results

  • In 2024, the amount of hazardous waste was 5.44 kg/ton, an increase of 15.63% compared to 2023.
  • In 2023, the amount of hazardous waste and disposal was 4.59 kg/ton, a decrease of 9.65% compared to 2022.

Activities

  1. Continuously implement resource conservation projects every year to foster awareness and promote responsible resource usage, helping to reduce waste disposal costs. Clear goals and measurement methods are established, along with creating a safe and conducive working environment.
  2. Increase the number of recycling sorting stations and expand the types of waste sorted to create new products, while encouraging employees to correctly sort waste before disposal through 5S audits, which serve to instill a sense of responsibility in employees.
  3. The income generated from recycling activities will be returned to all employees, managed by the 5S committee.
  4. For industrial waste management, a project was carried out to convert calcium waste into 4,813 blocks, reducing the amount of waste sent for disposal by 12,514 kilograms and cutting waste disposal costs by 59,066 baht.

Brick Block Project (Industrial Waste Management)

The Sustainable Brick Project utilizes waste from the calcium sulfate production process to create sustainable bricks. Launched four years ago, the initiative emphasizes environmental and community importance, with active participation from our employees. In its fourth year, we successfully achieved our goal of generating income from brick sales.​

Coaster

Monica coasters are made from recycled plastic waste from the final stages of the industry, transformed into unique coasters. Each piece is unique and the only one in the world.

In keeping with its commitment to continual improvement, the Monica brand expanded its distribution channels in 2024 through more online platforms such as TikTok, Lazada, and Shopee, to provide customers with a more convenient and complete purchasing experience.
